Delhi Capitals stay alive in the playoff race

Delhi Capitals had to outlast Punjab in the recent Indian Premier League match up to keep their hopes of Playoff alive this season which has already ruled out the usual competitors, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings after their particularly disappointing season in IPL this season. 

Delhi was able to register a 17-run win past Punjab thanks to Mitchell Marsh’s knock of 63 off 48 balls and Thakur's 4-36. Delhi posted a total of 159 runs while Liam Livingstone led the attack for Kings with 3-27. But Delhi did a great job at defending their target with fast bowler Shardul Thakur leading the attack Punjab could not get past 142-9 and Delhi won the match by 17 runs. The Rishabh Pant-led side is now fourth on the table led by Gujarat Titans.
