Kolkata Knight Riders squashed Rajasthan Royals on Thursday with a big 86 runs to solidify their chances of grabbing the fourth and final spot in the Indian Premier League. At Sharjah, with Shubman Gill’s knock of 44 balls 56, KKR put up a score of 171 with the loss of four wickets.
While Gill pushed KKR to a big score Shivam Mavi did his best to defend the score clinching four wickets and even scored 21 off just 19 balls against Rajasthan who could not even play for 20 overs as the team was bundled out at 16.1 overs scoring just 85 runs. KKR still stays in the running for the playoff spot but Mumbai Indians could level at 14 points if they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad on the last match of round-robin format in the league phase.
