Punjab lost the playoff spot one more time

PBKS became the only team that failed to win 2 successive matches in the 2022 Indian Premier League. Thus, missing out on the playoff position once again. Punjab Kings ended their season in IPL placed at the 6th. Despite a win over Kolkata Knight Riders, they couldn’t claim a spot in they wanted and ended another campaign with the feeling of what could have been again. 

Punjab Kings were out of the battle for the playoffs even before they played their final league match. Punjab had kick-started this year’s IPL season with a bang when they won over Royal Challengers Bangalore but later were seen struggling during the entire season with inconsistency. They also lost their captain KL Rahul before the mega auction yet Punjab managed to put together a powerful team on paper.
