Scorchers and Strikers move one step closer to final

In the first playoff match of the season, Adelaide Strikers defeated Hobart Hurricanes to move one step closer to the BBL final. Strikers openers set the team up for a crucial with Matt Short and Alex Carey’s quick half-centuries later Peter Siddle did well with the ball with  4 for 32 and defended the 188 scores to win by 22 runs in the end. Strikers need two more wins to reach the finals.

In the second match, Josh Inglis, Kurtis Patterson posted half-centuries to help Perth Scorchers cruise past Sydney Sixers to win by 49 runs. Josh Inglis’s knock of 79 and the opening 120-run partnership with Kurtis Patterson put Scorchers in a good position to win the match with 189 runs. Sixers’s Ben Dwarshius did put the team back in the chase with 66 from No. 9 after they slipped to 55 for 7 but it wasn't enough to win the match.
