Bayern deny wanting to sign Ronaldo: "It's not true"

Bayern Munich are not considering the option of signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United. This is despite rumours spreading that the Portuguese could make a move to the Bundesliga to fill the void Robert Lewandowski is likely to leave at Bayern Munich. The sporting director of the German outfit has denied the claims.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is a top player with an impressive career, but the rumour that's circulating is a rumour that's a lie", said Hasan Salihamidzic on 'Sky Sport'. This suggests that the Portuguese will continue at Old Trafford despite him having his doubts about the project Ten Hag is starting there.

The Germans' stance on the situation is yet another confirmation to Joan Laporta and the Barcelona board that they intend to keep Lewandowski at the club next season.
