Crystal Palace beat Watford in Premier League

After the first-half penalty from Wilfried Zaha, Watford’s relegation from the Premier League was confirmed as they lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The Hornets needed a miracle to remain in the competition. Last weekend’s defeat at home to Burnley had confirmed the Hornets’ instant return to the second tier. 

Post interval, Joshua Kinga came with a better intent to force Palace’s backup goalkeeper Jack Butland into action for the first time in the 49th minute. But his efforts weren’t that great after a great dibble. Odsonne Edouard couldn’t double Palace’s lead just past the hour mark when he beat three players. The supporters who came for the visitors remained in fine tone and joined the Palace faithful in mocking their own team. After this loss, the suffering of Watford ended.
