Haller, candidate to replace Haaland at Dortmund

Sebastien Haller was in the spotlight in the Champions League last season. He had already excelled at certain stages of his spells at Eintracht Frankfurt and West Ham, but left for Ajax in the 2020-21 winter transfer window.

It was in his second season playing for them when he reached his prime. And in what a way. The striker finished the season with 37 goals in 47 games. He performed particularly well in the Champions League.

These numbers have not gone unnoticed by Borussia Dortmund, who have reportedly set their sights on the Ivory Coast international to bring him back to the Bundesliga three years after his departure.

According to 'Bild', the Germans have chosen Haller as the most appropriate striker to replace Erling Haaland. BVB would be willing to offer 30 million euros for the 27-year-old to become the new offensive reference in Dortmund.
