Marseille keep their eye set on Euro spot

Marseille is still the closest competition PSG has this season in Ligue 1 as they remain 12 points in lead at the top of the table. OM on the other hand has accepted their fate but is ready to put in their best for the second place and with the 2-0 victory over Montpellier, the team has stretched their winning streak to seven matches across competitions. They were dominant right from the start when Senegal striker Bamba Dieng opened for the team in the 9th minute with Amine Harit’s perfect assist. A penalty converted by Turkey winger Cengiz Under at the 19th minute had set the tone of the match in OM’s favor.

Later right at the end of the match Montpellier goalkeeper Jonas Omlin was sent off after he pulled a foul on Luis Henrique outside the area but Marseille could not take advantage of it but enjoyed a three-point gap between them and third-place Rennes.
