Marseille won at Metz and consolidates second place in France

Marseille went this Sunday to Metz winning 2-1, in the 24th round of the French Football League, and consolidated the second place, taking advantage of the defeat of Nice in the Parc des Princes, against Paris Saint-Germain.

The team from the south of France took the lead in the 26th minute, thanks to a goal from Congolese striker Cédric Bakambu, but Metz restored the tie in the 52nd, by the Ivorian midfielder Maiga Habib, only undone half an hour later, at 82, by Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik.

With this triumph, Marseille consolidated their second place with 46 points, taking advantage of Nice's defeat at the Parc des Princes, against PSG, to increase the distance to their closest pursuer to four, which totals 42 , while Metz dropped to 19th, and penultimate, with 20 points.
