After months of negotiations, Newcastle United and Burnley have agreed to the deal that sees Nick Pope go to Magpies on a four-year deal. Eddie Howe adds the goalkeeper for a fee of £ 10 million and the shot stopper has a chance to still play in the Premier League despite Burnley’s relegation to the Championship. The England international also wants to be involved in the Gareth Southgate’s England plans with World Cup in Qatar scheduled for this winter.
Pope has spent a considerable amount of six seasons at Turf Moor and even won the Burnley’s player of the year award twice and help Burnley earn a berth in Europe in 2017/18. Newcastle gets the Clarets goalies at a very low price.
