Real Madrid could earn millions thanks to the elimination of Spanish teams

Real Madrid drew in the last breath against Shakhtar in Poland and managed to qualify for the round of 16 of the Champions League. So far, they are the only ones of the four La Liga clubs that have managed to advance.

Without going any further, Real Madrid could make more money if the other three Spanish clubs are eliminated earlier. Barcelona and Sevilla are in big trouble in their groups as they also struggle to reach the round of 16.

If the three clubs are eliminated from the group stage, Real Madrid will be able to earn up to 11.7 million euros thanks to the market pool, a measure that UEFA distributes among the clubs in the Champions League and which is measured thanks to the performance of the clubs of a particular country.

Real Madrid could benefit if Atletico, Barcelona and Sevilla do not qualify.
